"L" and Death Note © Viz Media
We bought Death Note Volumes 1-3 the other day. I was SO happy that Best Buy had them in stock! We sat down last night and watched all 12 episodes back to back. We weren't planning on watching them all in one night, but they're so addictive that we kept saying, "just one more, just one more, just one more". LOL! I'm completely blown away...what a truly amazing series! Even my hubby was riveted, which is really saying something since he's always had zero interest in manga/anime. I can't believe we've got to wait until the end of next month for Volume 4 to be released. Grrr!!! *dies*  My favourite character, hands down, is "L". He's so eccentric and completely brilliant...I can't help but love him and all his strange little quirks and mannerisms. I also love his voice. Their choice of voice actor for that character was perfect IMO.  My second favourite character is Ryuk. He really makes me laugh, and he's not at all like I expected. In fact, all of the characters are so multi-dimensional and downright fascinating. Brilliant concept, intricate storyline/plot, and wonderful characters...it all makes for one hell of a series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The whole battle of wits and the game of cat and mouse between "L" and Light are positively thrilling! I honestly don't know who to root for. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
