News (5/4/2012)Life has taken an unexpected and emotionally debilitating turn for me. I'm unsure of what's going to happen in the near future, where or how I'll be living, or if I'll have internet access or not. So my time online may be sporadic (or non-existent) for a while, until I can get things sorted out. If you need to get in contact with me for any reason, please be patient if you don't get a reply right away. I will try to respond as soon as I am able.
Art/Map CommissionsI've been getting a lot of requests for commissions lately, which is extremely flattering, but also quite a bit surprising considering I'm still fairly new to mapping. I really hate turning down offers, so I'm posting here to let people know up-front that I won't be taking on any more commissions. Right now it's just not feasible for me, even if I wanted to take on the occasional commission here and there. I love doing artwork/mapping, but I think I'd rather it remain just a hobby while I work full-time on writing and trying to get published.
If you need to commission a map (or mapping objects/elements) please take a look at the Fantastic Maps Feature below, which is a collection of some of the wonderful maps/map-makers I've found on deviantART. You can also check out the
Cartography Guild here at deviantART, and their main
Cartographer's Guild website which has a special section for commission requests. There's also a lot of talented mappers to be found on the
Dundjinni forums, and they also have a special section for commission requests. If you're new to the Dundjinni forums and cannot post, read
this thread about how to fix that.
Art Feature: Fantastic MapsHere are some of my favourite maps on deviantART! I love the diversity of styles, types and techniques. If you enjoy any of these, be sure to check out the rest of the artists' galleries. A lot of them have many more wonderful maps to offer. It was difficult choosing just one feature per person!
Many thanks to the following people for featuring my work!Fave Stamps
